BEHN, Aphra (1640-1689). Love-Letters between a Nobleman and his Sister; with the History of their Adventures. London: For D. Brown, et al, 1712.
8vo. (Contemporary ink notations on title-page.) Contemporary paneled calf (lacking upper cover).
Fourth edition. The work was inspired by a contemporary scandal, which saw Lord Grey eloping with his sister-in-law Lady Henrietta Berkeley. All editions are rare at auction.
[With:] BEHN. Love-Letters between a Nobleman and his Sister. London: for L. Hawes, 1765, 1721. 3 volumes, 8vo. Contemporary paneled calf (vol.1 lacking covers, spines worn on others, joints splitting). A mixed set: vol.1 is an eighth edition; vols.2 and 3 are sixth editions.
