Original yellow cloth, decorated in red (boards slightly bowed, lightly and unevenly toned, scattered soiling); dust jacket (spine toned, other panels unevenly toned, loss at spine ends and in corners, closed tear on front wrapper repaired with sello tape on verso). Provenance: contemporary ownership signature dated 1939 at top of front free endpaper; bookseller's ticket at bottom of rear paste-down (The Holliday Bookshop, New York).
