8vo. Original blue cloth, printed spine labels (sunning to spine and boards, spine head worn). Provenance: Ruth White Lowry (1884-1974), Hemingway's cousin and Kansas City native (recipient of Hemingway's inscription).
FIRST EDITION. INSCRIBED BY HEMINGWAY TO HIS COUSIN, RUTH LOWRY: "Dear Ruth: – This is funny in places but my what a dreadful little squirt wrote it. You get to hate him if you read enough of it. – Ernest."
