8vo. Original green cloth gilt; dust jacket (sunning to spine, creases and chipping along upper extremities with two 1" vertical tears). Provenance: Ruth White Lowry (1884-1974), Hemingway's cousin and Kansas City native (recipient of Hemingway's inscription).
Early printing (lacking "A" on copyright). INSCRIBED BY HEMINGWAY TO HIS COUSIN, RUTH LOWRY: "For Ruth, with much affection, Ernest Hemingway, Key West 1935."
[With:] part of the original envelope that contained the book, Hemingway's Key West address in an unknown hand.
