8vo. Original red and yellow cloth (damp stain to rear board affecting dust jacket, minor spotting to edges); publisher's dust jacket (damp stain to rear dust jacket, half-inch tear with accompanying crease to upper center of front dust jacket).
Early printing. INSCRIBED BY ANDY WARHOL WITH A DRAWING: "To George, Campbell's tomato soup." The Philosophy of Andy Warhol was the first of two books contracted for Andy Warhol by Harcourt, Brace and Jovanovich, with the other being a biography of Paulette Goddard, and the only one to be published. It was ghostwritten by Warhol's frequent collaborator Pat Hackett and based on tape recorded interviews with Warhol himself.
