the hood having a domed cornice with urn form finials above the glazed door opening to a moon phase and silvered chapter ring with Roman numeral hours and Arabic numeral minutes, further set with a seconds dial and date aperture, apparently signed W. Hankin, the straight trunk fitted with a door and raised on a molded plinth base, painted with Chinoiserie scenes.
