A Mezzotint: The Coronation of Napoleon, Housed in An Impressive Giltwood and Gesso Frame
Engraved By J. Payran After The Original Work By Jehan-Georges Vibert (French, 1840-1902), Circa 1903

Inscribed, "Copyright 1903 by Messrs. Arthur Tooth and Sons, 5 & 6 Haymarket, London, 41, Boulevard des Capucines, Paris, 899 Fifth Avenue New York & Messrs. Stiefbold & Co, Berlin. Printed by A. Porcabeuf, Imprimerie A . Salmon, Paris.," upper edge, with printed signature, "J.G. Vibert," l.r., and signed in pencil, "J. Payran," l.r., housed in an architectural giltwood and gesso frame with cornice surmounted by be-ribboned laurel garland, centered by an uppercase "N" for Napoleon, the picture flanked by two Ionic columnettes with block above each bearing a raised uppercase "B" for Bonaparte.
