Lot Description
CURTIS, Edward S (1868-1952), photographer. The Vanishing Race.
7 3/4 x 9 1/2 in. orotone. Housed in original arts and crafts gesso and wood batwing frame with Curtis' applied paper label on verso, 11 1/2 x 13 1/2 in. Signed by Curtis lower right in negative.
Provenance: Acquired by Gladys Erling Ackley (1895-1978) in the early 1920s from the Curtis studio in Seattle, Washington, when Gladys lived in Spokane, Washington (consignor notes).
