A very early Hawaiian/English language newspaper containing 8 pages draped in “black mourning rules," with a report of the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln by John Wilkes Booth. The news was received in Hawaii on 8 May 1865 and was first published in this monthly Honolulu, Hawaii newspaper.
