**Waffenwerk Brunn dou 44 Code K98 with Israeli Markings
World War II
7.92x57mm. 23.62" barrel length. SN: 1900. Phosphate finish with polished extractor in laminated wood stock with half length upper handguard and standard rear leaf and front blade sights. Bolt action internal magazine fed repeating rifle charged with stripper clips. Receiver is struck dou./44, indicating it was originally made by Waffenwerke Bruenn. Waffenamt marks on the receiver have been defaced, and a Hebrew mark appears below the serial number, indicating this rifle was inspected and used by the Israeli Defense Forces. Serial numbers mixed. Century Arms importer marking to right barrel near muzzle. Sling shows an intact serial number mark, and a Hebrew stamp to buckle. Item is missing the spring retainer for the upper barrel band. {C&R}
