Single shot flintlock turn-off pistol displaying Birmingham proof marks on the frame and barrel. Right frame is engraved LONDON with the left engraved with the maker name PARR. Base of the grip has been struck with the letters VS. Item features a safety lock. John Parr worked in Liverpool circa 1765-1803, with his sons James and later William joining him to form Parr & Son circa 1795.
