Lot Description

Five WWI & WWII Era US Knife Bayonets
World War I & II

1) US M1905 Bayonet by Rock Island Arsenal with M1910 modified M1905 Leather Scabbard. 15.875" blued blade marked US/159003 on the obverse ricasso and RIA/{Flaming Bomb}/1909 on the reverse. Wood grips, one rough hewn and one with grooves. Includes a 1909 RIA marked leather scabbard with the 1910 belt hook modification. About Good overall with some wear and finish loss. Scabbard scuffed with moderate wear and the seam opening at the tip.
2) US M1905 Type IV Bayonet (M1942) by United Fork & Hoe with a Victory Plastics composite scabbard. 15.875" Parkerized blade, marked U.F.H./{Flaming Bomb}/1942 on the reverse ricasso. Black plastic grips. OD Green painted composite scabbard. About Very Good overall with some finish loss and light wear, scabbard Very Good as well.
3) US M1 Bayonet with Victory Plastics composite scabbard. 9.875" Parkerized blade marked PAL/U {Flaming Bomb} S on the reverse ricasso. OD Green painted composite scabbard. Very Good to Fine overall with some thinning to the finish and high edge loss, remaining crisp overall with a scabbard in Very Good+ condition with some light to moderate wear.
4) US Model 1917 Bayonet by Winchester with OD Green painted leather scabbard with blackened steel mounts. 17" Parkerized blade is marked 1917/W in a circle on the reverse ricasso and with an {Eagle Head}, {Flaming Bomb} and X on the obverse ricasso. Two groove wood grips. Painted leather scabbard. About Very Good overall with some wear and finish loss, blade moderately oxidized with a mottled appearance. Scabbard Good to Very Good with some scuffing and finish loss.
5) US Model 1917 Bayonet by Remington with OD Green painted leather scabbard with blackened steel mounts. 17" blade has a dull silvery bead blasted appearance and is marked 1917/REMINGTON in a circle on the reverse ricasso and with an {Eagle Head}, {Flaming Bomb} and US on the obverse. About good overall as cleaned with faded grips. Scabbard Poor to Fair with a break in the middle held together with old duct tape.
