Lot Description
Six World War II Era Fighting Knives
WWII
1) 6" Western "Shark Knife" with 6" blued blade and Western marking on reverse ricasso. 10" overall with stacked leather washer grip and an old replacement leather sheath. About Fair to Good overall with moderate wear and a broken hilt retention strap on the sheath.
2) USMC and KA-BAR marked Marine Corps fighting-utility knife with 7" clip point blade. 12" overall with stacked leather washer grip and a USMC/BOYT/42 marked leather scabbard. About Fair overall with heavy wear.
3) Cattaraugus 225Q Utility Knife. 6" bright blade, 10.5" overall with stacked leather washer grip. Includes a leather sheath that fits correctly. About Good overall with some light to moderate wear, some leather loss on the grip and a Very Good scabbard.
4) USN Mk2 Knife by Camillus. 7" Parkerized blade with Camillus markings on the reverse ricasso. 12" overall with stacked leather washer grip. Includes a USN marked leather sheath. Very Good overall with some moderate wear to the sheath.
5) USN Mk2 Knife by KA-BAR. 7" Parkerized blade with KA-BAR markings on the reverse ricasso. 12" overall with stacked leather washer grip. Includes the leather sheath that is period decorated with the name "Bob", who acceding to the markings was from Dayton, OH and served in the US Navy in 1944 on USS LST 140. His service took him to North Africa, Sicily, Corscia, France, Sardinia and Italy. About Good overall with moderate wear to both the knife and sheath.
6) Unmarked, "Sterile" fighting utility knife. 6.5" Parkerized clip point blade, 11.75" in overall length with stacked leather washer grip. Includes a period leather sheath that is not correct for the blade shape. About Very Good overall with some light to moderate wear.
