Turn of the century Southern Cross of Honor, a commemorative medal that was created by the United Daughters of the Confederacy to honor southern soldiers who fought during the Civil War. Cross messures nominally 1.25" by 1.25" with a total length of 2" including the hanging bar. Standard markings, rear of bar with Crankshaw's patent marking and an early style pin attachment system. Cross is not named. A very nice example.
