Six US Model 1861 Contract Rifle Musket Locks, Including: Schubarth, Eagleville & Robinson
American Civil War
1) C.D Schubert US Model 1861 Contract Rifle Musket Lock. Color casehardened finish. Marked U.S./C.D. SCHUBARTH/PROVIDENCE. According to Moller only 500 locks with this marking were produced.
2) Eagle Manufacturing Company US Model 1861 Contract Rifle Musket Lock. Marked U.S./EAGLEVILLE and dated 1863. Lock plate with forging flaws and some light pitting.
3) Edward Robinson US Model 1861 Contract Rifle Musket Lock. Marked E. ROBINSON/NEW YORK and dated 1863.
4) Parkers', Snow & CO. US Model 1861 Contract Rifle Musket Lock. Marked PARKERS' SNOW & CO/MERIDEN, CONN. and dated 1864.
5) William Muir US Model 1861 Contract Rifle Musket Lock. Marked WM MUIR & CO./WINDSOR LOCKS, CT. and dated 1864.
6) Providence Tool Company US Model 1861 Contract Rifle Musket Lock. Marked U.S./PROVIDENCE and not dated. Hammer very crude with tool marks.
