Group of 11 US Model 1816 .69 Caliber Socket Bayonets
Mexican American War through Civil War
Group includes one flintlock period US Model 1816/22/27 socket bayonet with a 16" blade and sharp blade shoulders marked US/TA on the blade. The other ten bayonets are US Model 1816 Replacement Bayonets with nominally 18" blades and tapered 1855 style blade shoulders. All ten are US marked. All bayonets have a T-mortise, friction fit socket.
