Two US Model 1851 Cadet Socket Bayonets, 1 Browned & 1 Bright with Scabbard
American Civil War
1) Browned US Model 1851 Cadet Socket Bayonet with 14.5" blade, 13.5" fuller and 2.67" socket. 17.25" in overall length. Face of blade marked US, right rear of socket numbered 179. Original grooved locking ring that rotates around the stud in its center is intact and functional.
2) Bright US Model 1851 Cadet Socket Bayonet with Pattern 1851 Scabbard. 14.5" blade, 13.5" fuller and 2.67" socket. 17.25" in overall length. Face of blade marked US, right rear of socket numbered 12. Original grooved locking ring that rotates around the stud in its center is intact and functional. Scabbard with black bridle leather body with correct two pin brass tip and sewn only blackened buff frog that has an old hole in the center of it.
