*Colt Model 1911A1 with Holster
World War 2
.45 ACP. 5" barrel length. SN: 2284792. Parkerized metal finish with checkered wood grips and mounting non-standard MMC marked adjustable target rear notch and replaced front blade sights. Single action short-recoil operated autoloading pistol fed by detachable single stack magazines. Left slide struck with two-line address and patent date with {Rampant Colt} logo separating the address and patents. Right frame struck UNITED STATES PROPERTY and M1911A1 U.S. ARMY. Further government marks include the ordnance {Crossed Cannons} on the right frame and G.H.D. initials of Brigadier General Guy H. Drewry to left. Barrel is blued and void of markings. Left frame struck with Colt's VP monogram proof below an X initial. Right triggerguard marked 56. Top of the slide struck with a P marking that is perpendicular to the axis of the rifling. Comes with a Vietnam-Era black leather holster showing BUCHEIMER maker mark and number 7791466 over belt loop. Lacks magazine. {MODERN}
