**Springfield M1 Garand National Match Type 3B
World War II

.30-06. 24" barrel length. SN: 3609042. Parkerized metal arsenal refinish mounting oil finished walnut semi-pistol grip stock and T105 pattern small-aperture adjustable rear and front blade sights with projectors. Long stroke piston driven rotating bolt semi-automatic rifle fed by an internal magazine charged with stripper clips. Receiver is marked U.S./RIFLE/CAL. .30M1/SPRINGFIELD ARMORY. Barrel date reads 7 63, indicating this 1945 production receiver was rebarreled in July, 1963. The NM National Match marking is struck into multiple parts including top of the barrel, front sight base, base of the gas cylinder, and the base of the operating rod. Interior of forend is serial number matched to the receiver. Wrist shows circle P mark with left counterpane displaying a boxed SA stamp followed by the {Defense Acceptance Stamp}. Latter marking appears on the barrel. Rear sight is not NM marked, and possibly replaced. {C&R}
