Born in North Dakota in 1935, Gerome Weinand moved to Montana in 1955 after returning from the Korean War. In 1982 he sold his first knife made of metal and micarta scraps, and gradually honed his craft in the years that followed. Weinand favors simple and highly functional patterns embracing traditional fittings and techniques. This lot demonstrates another love of his, richly patterned Damascus steel blades.
