Frame, bar hammer and triggerguard with tight flowing foliate engraving, marked MOORE & HARRIS on the left side of the frame and IMPROVED REVOLVER on the right side. Barrels numbered 1 though 6 with London commercial proof marks between the barrels in the flutes. Moore & Harris worked as gun & pistol makers, as well as gun barrel and gun lock makers in Birmingham circa 1840-1864. They received English Patent #69 of October 1, 1852, for a "percussion revolver". That patent may apply to this pepperbox. {ANTIQUE}
