Bolt-action detachable magazine fed repeating rifle mounting Lyman rear aperture and front blade sights. Receiver is marked U.S./SPRINGFIELD/ARMORY/CAL. .22 M2. Barrel date reads SA/{Ordnance Bomb}/6-37, indicating it was made by Springfield Armory in June of 1937. The bolt handle and bolt both show the M2 model mark with the handle additionally struck NS for nickel steel. The top of the bolt is struck with drawing number D-28223-2. Serial number is marked into the base of the bolt with electropen. {C&R}
