Single shot muzzle loading percussion rifle mounting a dovetailed brass front blade and a rear notch sight cut into the sight base. Stock is further decorated with triple brass tacks to each flank of the forend and butt. Receiver retains the 1864 date, but the arsenal mark over the lock has been obliterated.
