23" unfullered tapered double edged spear point blade, 4.5" wide at the widest point. 29.5" in overall length. 5.5" hilt with large, forwards swept cross guard 7.5" in length. Pinned horn grip scales, steel pommel cap. Two deeply pressed cross shaped touchmarks are present near the ricasso on the obverse. Consignor's notes suggest that this may be from the studios of Ernst Schmidt from the late 19th century.
