Blade is etched with foliate patterns enclosing Panoplies of Arms, and the {Seal of the US Army} over a banner with the national motto on the right and U.S. to the left. Left blade etched with maker marking SPRINGFIELD/ARMORY/SPRINGFIELD/MASS. U.S.A. Comes with a nickel plated metal scabbard with dual mounting rings.

2.) 31.6" blade. 36.5" with hilt. 37.75" overall with scabbard and hilt. Curved single edged German pattern sabre with unsharpened nickel plated blade with rounded spine, and fitting a bras guard and backstrap with shagreen and wire wrapped hilt and peened tang. Blade is unsigned. Comes with a brass mounted scabbard with dual mounting rings.
