Bright sixth-plate occupational daguerreotype of a handsome young woodworker or carpenter posed with numerous tools of his trade.

In a fascinating pose, he holds his large square front, with his caliper or divider propped upright against his wood planer on the table next to him. A hammer and a putty knife are also visible along with a couple of unidentified tools. There is an older seal on the back of the image and any small spots appear to be on the inside of the glass. It is housed in a very nice full leather case.
