9 works in 9 volumes, 4to. Numerous color illustrations. Original cloth-backed color pictorial boards (a few rebacked, light edgewear, some scuffs to cover labels, one spine perished).
Subjects include: amphibians, reptiles, paleontology, mineralogy, birds, and lions. Schubert was a German physician, naturalist, and philosopher known for his work in the natural sciences and his contributions to the study of the interplay between science and spirituality.
