Together, 2 works in 9 volumes, 8vo. Numerous hand-colored plates. (Light spotting.) Original grey-blue gilt-decorated cloth (library call numbers in gilt on spines of vols.2-6 of first work, light rubbing to fore-corners and spine ends). Provenance: Worcester Public Library (bookplates, call numbers on spines).
Second editions. Morris was an Irish clergyman, naturalist, and writer, best known for his works on British birds, insects, and rural wildlife. He was a pioneer of the movement to protect birds from the plume trade and was a co-founder of the Plumage League. Nissen IVB 645, 646.
