Small folio. Hand-color lithographed additional half-title, 11 hand-color lithographed plates heightened with gum arabic. (Light interior spotting, mainly to title-page). Original green cloth gilt stamped with ornamental vase of flowers on both covers, spine gilt-stamped and lettered, all edges gilt (some staining to upper cover, rebacked preserving original spine).
FIRST EDITION. Louisa Anne Twamley (1812-1895) was an Anglo-Australian writer and illustrator, and one of the earliest photographers in Australia. Dunthorne 13; Nissen BBI 35
