First edition, first impression, first state. 8vo. 256 pp. Publisher's plain black cloth, lettered in silver along spine, slightly cocked; in original pictorial brown dust-jacket, printed in black and in white, designed by Pat Marriott, tear at top of spine panel traversing into front panel (about 2-inches), creasing across same; small tear at top front flap fold; small circular yellow sticker at bottom of rear panel (applied by Lawrence Hughes, denoting importance).
