(xliv), 196, (2), 142, 10 pp. Illustrated with an engraved frontispiece portrait of Caesar, additional engraved title-page, and 14 engraved plates (including nine double-page), as well as woodcut head- and tail-pieces and initials. Full contemporary or near-contemporary English blue morocco, elaborately decorated in gilt, wear along joints, boards lightly rubbed, small repaired holes at fore-edges from now perished clasps or ties; all edges gilt; later marbled endpapers; light scattered spotting to text.
