One volume only (of 2, lacking the volume of Scientific Reports), 8vo. With folding route map & numerous illustrations. Original publisher's decorated brown cloth gilt. FIRST AMERICAN EDITION. Conway led this first major climbing expedition to the Karakoram in 1892, sponsored in part by the Royal Society and the Royal Geographical Society. It was the first exploration and climbing of the Hispar, Biafro, and Baltoro Glaciers, and became the model for most major Himalayan expeditions. Neate C103.
