Donaldson (bookplate). FIRST EDITION. Armitage sailed as navigator and Second in Command under Scott on the Discovery Expedition of 1901-04 to Antarctica. His account, which exposes some of the lighter and more anecdotal sides of the expedition, often comments on the men's characters.
