8vo. Publisher's black cloth; original printed dust-jacket (minor slight wear to ends of spine panel). Provenance: Marge Beck? (signature).FIRST AMERICAN EDITION of Saint-Exupery's memoirs of his early flights, first as a mail carrier pilot in the Sahara and Libya, and later in South America and Spain. He also describes a 1935 attempt, as co-pilot, to fly from Paris to Saigon, which crashed in the Sahara. Saint-Exupery disappeared on a flight over the Mediterranean in 1944.
