Publisher's blue cloth gilt (some spotting and a touch of wear to extremities); with the rare original dust-jacket (defective). Provenance: Previous owner's gift inscription dated 1923.LIMITED EDITION DE LUXE, number 189 of 280 copies, SIGNED BY MURRAY, MARSTON, AND SHACKLETON on half-title. Murray and Marston's account of the Nimrod Expedition of 1907-1909, on which Shackleton's Aurora Australis was printed (see lot 182).
