A Chinese Kesi Silk 'Dragon' Panel
19TH CENTURY
of rectangular form, depicting a sinuous dragon to the upper register chasing the flaming pearl of wisdom, above a pair of crouching dragons with flaming pearls amongst ruyi clouds, flying bats and ribbon-tied Buddhist emblems, all picked out on a celeste blue ground and above mountain peaks, rushing waves and lishui.
