Lot Description
[VERSAILLES]. CONTANT DE LA MOTTE, M. Nouveau Plan de Versailles. Paris: Avec Privilge du Roi, 1787.
Engraved plan, dissected in 24 sections and mounted on original linen, 585 x 1038 mm sheet, folding into original gilt-stamped board slipcase. A fine plan of Versailles engraved by Jean-Baptiste Croisey and dedicated to the Prince de Poix, Philippe-Louis-Marc-Antoine, comte de Noailles (1752-1819), a French soldier, and politician of the Revolution.
