Provenance: Marianne Broughton (early ownership signature); W.R. Bixby (bookplate); Jerome Kern (1885-1945) American composer (morocco bookplate, sold Anderson Galleries, 7 January 1929, sale 2307, lot 198); Frederick Spiegelberg (morocco bookplate). FIRST EDITION, JEROME KERN'S COPY. Kern's obituary noted that "at one time it was said that he was better known in the bookshops than in the marts of the musical trade."
