Provenance: John Plumptre (b.1754), Anglican dean and author (signature, King's College Cambridge, 1774). FIRST EDITION of Bryant's work, which is credited as an influence on the mythological system of William Blake, who worked as an engraver for the illustrations in Bryant's work.
