Publisher's green- and black-stamped grey cloth, top edge green (very slight wear to corners and spine ends); original printed pictorial dust-jacket (lacking small portions of the front panel, the front panel, spine, and part of the lower panel laid down on green paper); cloth slipcase. Provenance: Myrtle A. Crummer (presentation inscription, bookplate). FIRST EDITION, PRESENTATION COPY, INSCRIBED BY WILDER: "For Mrs. Crummer with all the regard of Thornton Wilder Los Angeles Jan 1930."
