Lot Description

A Chinese Hardwood Sign DATED THE TWENTIETH YEAR OF JIAQING REIGN (1815) of rectangular form, the front carved with four large characters reading "nian gao de shao", bearing a line of inscription "Daqing Jiaqing ershi nian suici yihai zhengyue" (the first month in yihai year, the twentieth year of Jiaqing reign, great Qing dynasty, corresponding to year 1815). Length 93 1/4 x width 37 1/2 x depth 3 inches.
