A Pair of Chinese Black Lacquered Elmwood Official's Hat Armchairs, Nanguanmaoyi
QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
each having a humpback toprail raised on a plain back splat and a pair of cylindrical posts forming the rear legs, the S-shaped armrests supported by a curved stile, the soft-mat seated above a humpback apron with two short braces, the cylindrical legs joined by stepped stretchers.
