A Peachbloom Glazed Beehive-Form Porcelain Waterpot, Taibaizun
LATE 19TH CENTURY
the tapering sides rising to a rounded shoulder and a short waisted neck below a lipped mouthrim, the domed body faintly incised with three dragon roundels, the exterior overall applied with a deep rose glaze mottled with raspberry and green flecks, imitating the skin of a ripening peach, the recessed base inscribed in underglaze blue with an apocryphal Kangxi six-character mark.
