EARHART, Amelia (1897-1937). Typed letter signed ("Amelia Earhart"), to Mrs John Jay White. Rye, New York, 25 May 1933. 1 page, 4to, on personal stationery, creased at folds, slight toning. Thanking her for an anniversary gift and apologizing for not being home when she visited. She continues, "we also might have a discussion concerning the National Women's Party, in which we are so much interested." With a holograph note at the top of the letter: "I returned from Chicago to find this letter. I do not know why this was not sent unless it is somehow a duplicate. Please forgive the delay if you did not receive an acknowledgment before." Signed "A.E." and dated 15 June 1933.
