Lot Description

O'KEEFFE, Georgia (1887-1986). Autograph letter initial-signed twice ("G" in two places), to her sister Anita Young. Albiquiu, New Mexico, 14 July 1966. 2 pages 4to, on recto and verso, some light ink showthrough, creased at folds. O'Keefe writes her sister discussing an arrangement for her sister to "lease" some of her works to decorate her home. "I have photographs of what you wanted from my storage-all spread out on this table I have worked out a lease-if you don't like it do better if you can. I thought if you paid me 6% rent it would be reasonable. When you get into your new house and we look at the paintings there you may wish to give up more-or different ones. Write me what you think of the lease." As a postscript she writes, "If this suits you I must now work on where the paintings are to be given in time-let me know."
