A Federal Carved, Inlaid and Veneered Mahogany Bowfront Settee CARVING ATTRIBUTED TO SAMUEL MCINTIRE, SALEM, MASSACHUSETTS, CIRCA 1785-1805 the serpentine crest rail centered with a rectangular tablet carved to show a trophy among ribbon tied laurel branches in relief above the padded back, sides, and stuffover seat, the arms set on reeded columnar supports carved to show lattice and floral decoration, raised on reeded cylindrical tapering legs ending in brass caps and casters. Height 39 x width 48 x depth 27 inches.
