Lot Description

An Empire Gilt Bronze Mantel Clock EARLY 19TH CENTURY the rectangular case having a circular dial with Roman numeral hours surmounted by a footed bowl and a shell and flanked by a draped putto with shells at his feet, the rectangular plinth base with a figural mount cast to show a cherub holding a torch seated atop a floral garland suspended from insects, the dial signed PD/ 4853. Height 20 1/4 inches.
