A Yixing Pottery Teapot
19TH CENTURY
molded in the form of a section of a prunus trunk, carved in relief on one side showing pine tree branches issuing from the spout, the other side with bamboo issuing from the handle, the flat cover decorated with prunus blossoms, the branch forming the knob, the underside bearing a Yu Feng two-character mark with two other characters in Manchu, the interior of the cover incised with a Gong Ju two-character mark.
Height 4 inches.
