A Pair of Wucai Porcelain 'Dragon and Phoenix' Bowls
DAOGUANG PERIOD (1821-1850)
each having rounded walls raised on a short straight foot, painted to the exterior with two striding dragons chasing flaming pearls alternating winged phoenix birds, all amongst flowering plants below a circle of beribboned Buddhist emblems and ruyi heads, the central interior decorated with a sinuous dragon chasing the pearl of wisdom, the underside bearing a Daoguang six-character underglaze blue mark.
