A Gilt Bronze Figure of a Recumbent Deer MING DYNASTY (1368-1644) the animal depicted in recumbent posture with all four tucked underneath the body, its head turned backwards bearing a lingzhi sprig in its mouth, cast with two upright ears, bulgy eyes and detailed mane, the bushy tail flicked to one side, flames rising from the figure's haunch. Height 2 7/8 inches.
